Whether equipment as a service, remote assistance, predictive maintenance or digital twins – as performance promises from global market leaders “Made in Germany”, they are part of the differentiation from the competition. When implemented correctly, they generate additional sales and often improve margins. But there are a number of stumbling blocks to overcome – from technical aspects to legal framework conditions or questions of the business model and financing through to organizational and cultural challenges in implementation.
